Randy Love, head of the Chamber Ensemble at Columbia College had asked me to write something that I wanted for his unusual combination of instruments // and if I could add singers to the project as well // I was always inspired by a book called “My Shalom My Peace:Poems and paintings by Jewish and Arab Children// setting it to music seemed the right fit to me// I still wished I had more than flute 2 vlns cello piano and 4 percussions…..//
