Was written for the wonderful flutist Jennifer Parker – Harley and her husband – wonderful bassoonist Michael Harley.

First performance – Aug. 16 2010 – White Lake Chamber Music Festival, Montague MI.
Second Performance – Feb. 2011 at the Troy – Hayner Cultural Center Chamber Music Series, Dayton OH.

Michael suggested I could write them something that comes from my homeland // I realised while writing the piece, that my homeland is many memories // some distant some haunting some recurrent but most are solemn// I knew that what Michael maent were the scales// the sounds, that come from that part of the world//
But I don’t hear these sounds and scales I hear the memories//
